The advent of cameras CCTV was the most difficult crime to commit the crime and that much easier to understand. Same crimes committed in low light or darkness can be monitored and recorded through infrared technology. If you need a security camera that is reliable and effective, consider using the surveillance camera infrared. Here are some shopping tips to consider:

Note resolution

The resolution refers to the ability of the device to produce good images clear. This is usually measured in terms of TVLs or TV lines (horizontal lines that appear on the monitor screen for images) or pixels.

If there are budgetary constraints must take into account for a good price surveillance infrared camera has a resolution TV lines high. This will ensure you get good, crisp images every time, even when the camera led them at night. If the budget is not really a problem, consider a surveillance camera with a high number of megapixels. It will cost, but if you want a high coverage and clarity of the image which is the way forward.

Find a camera with good control functions

There are essentially two types of surveillance cameras Infrared can be purchased fixed and PTZ or pan / tilt / zoom type. Either it works well for monitoring specific areas and has its own advantages and limitations.

A fixed camera is a good choice for monitoring smaller areas, it can be discussed only in one direction. This can also be used for monitor larger areas or more if it is installed in a higher place. The camera infrared surveillance PTZ on the other hand, can be set or controlled to move from left to right, top and bottom. It also has a zoom lens so it is easier to obtain close to an object from a remote location.

Before buying a special type of camera surveillance to assess your needs first. PTZ camera is the best choice for your building or a fixed camera to do? What is the width of the area or room you need control? Will you need the foreground objects on the screen shot or sequence will be wide enough?

Look for a camera with a number of LUX

LUX The number refers to the ability of the lens of the camera in low light treatment. Before you buy a surveillance camera, infrared, consider the overall environment of the area you want to control. Would it be too dark or light source is available from somewhere, like a lamp or outdoor light? Buy a camera that has a day / night if you can pass parameters as required and seek which has the capacity to process images at different levels of light.

The image sensor is the component of the camera that captures light and begins the process of converting a digital image. There are two types of sensors, security cameras: CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor). Which one you choose depends on your application.

First a little history on each technology.

With CCD, the charge of each pixel is transferred via an exit node, which then becomes a electrical signal. The signal is buffered and sent as an analog signal. Because the pixels can be devoted to capturing light and image quality is generally very high.

With a CMOS sensor, each individual pixel carries its own load voltage conversion, and the sensor also performs the amplification and noise correction. The sensor also includes digital circuits that enable the chip output to a digital format. Due the complexity of this design reduces the area devoted to capturing light. And because each pixel is to make his own conversion, uniformity (in both image quality) is smaller.

The production cost for both types of sensors are similar, but sometimes CMOS sensors require additional support chips to optimize image quality. CMOS sensors are ideal for devices that require speed and low power consumption, while CCD sensors for excellence in image quality and performance in low light.

Although both CMOS and CCD sensors have increased significantly in recent years, when it comes to security cameras, I prefer CCD applications for internal and external CMOS functions of the IP camera. Let me explain why.

In the world of the camera, CCD and CMOS sensors are virtually even in terms of performance. In fact, CMOS sensors are very interesting in this space because of its power requirements much lower – an important feature for battery devices. In the world of security cameras, I think the CCD CMOS sensors perform better than their counterparts in several key indicators.

The first and most important is the sensitivity to light. If you need a security camera capabilities with night vision that the CCD is the way forward. Cameras CMOS I tested, with or without infrared light, have been almost completely blind in the dark. The CCD cameras are very capable applications in low light, and are terrific when combined with infrared light. If you need to register in situations low light, the CCD is the way forward – not even consider the CMOS.

The second factor to consider is image quality. In the world of security cameras, while the two technologies come together, the CCD has the advantage in image quality. This is because fewer noise CCD image shows that their counterparts in CMOS.

So why consider purchasing a security camera with a CMOS sensor? Mainly because these sensors are more common in IP security cameras – ie, cameras that are equipped to build Web servers and communicate via IP using CAT5 cabling. These cameras are generally very affordable and are ideal for indoor applications requiring Web-based video streaming.

In conclusion, CCD sensors are the way forward for exterior applications, depending on the scenario of light or an image of higher quality is necessary. CMOS sensor based cameras should be considered for interior applications with decent lighting conditions.

Someone knows something about infrared binoculars Minox?

I bought a pair of binoculars in a sale of mixture into the weekend. I figured twins were quite ordinary, but when I got home I found that were marked Minox infrared. Fully say9x27x50mm 75m/1000M also lying to 9x. Lenses are orange Reddy. I tried to look through them and do not see much at night. I looked online and can not find infrared light with a digital run on batteries. These do not appear to be other types of batteries or switch ON / OFF. Does anyone know anything about this? Are they good and how is it used? I want to watch birds in my garden during the day, but really if I could use the night would be a bonus.

Hello, this is not a night vision binoculars. Real night vision devices still need a certain type power. The designation is 9x27x50 and means 9 times magnification zoom up 27 times with a 50mm lens of the objective (front lens, not the eye). The 75m/1000m in 9x means that an increase of 9 times you will have a field of view 75 meters when we look at some 1000 meters. Fully coated means that all elements of glass was coated to reduce glare and maximize the amount of captured light. Coatings may be of different colors, and red coats like yours often used to improve visibility when there is a bit confusing and in the afternoon. The overall objective lens will also be used when light levels are beginning to run out in early night, ie. I do not know about your particular brand, but sounds like it will be fine for what you want. However, the zoom facility may not be very useful and will probably reduce the light captured and image quality. For more information, visit my website. Hope this helps.
