Do I need digital cable to use a DVR?

Looking to buy a separate DVR is a free service of TiVo Basic already included. Can I connect to my TV which is fueled by basic cable, or do I buy digital cable? I have analog cable. My question is: whether or not I have a digital cable box, the kind that allows the scanning through television as a TV guide.

My first thought was that all the cables is digital now. So just plug and see if it works or call your cable company and ask them.

What items do I need for my system?

I want to play Blu-Ray and I want to be able to record TV programs. I just television show, so they have a DVR that many cable customers. Can I use a dark room with a mini DVR card or may be used only with closed circuit television?

I just bought this system if someone ebay.Wondering knows how to configure webcam monitoring.Looks server remotely, that the instructions were simple, but luck.Any help? Rich

DVR CARD SD format camera?

Novato, I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm a great time! I bought dashboard 2GB DVR camera. Then he bought a SanDisk 2GB Micro adapter and can not get the camera to work and me application??
