What camera sensor, the better: CCD or CMOS?

Hello These days few new cameras have replaced the sensors CMOS, others follow using CCD. In general, CMOS sensors of most digital SLRs have now. They said that the CCDs require a diet much higher and sharper pictures of CMOS. CMOS sensors are current, but we need more details. / Regards

It is difficult to be definitive on this subject, but most CMOS cameras because there are fewer components, are less expensive to mass produce. The corollary is that more research and development in CMOS is currently making the objectives of the latest techniques and refined. While the CCD is a mature technology, it is more expensive to produce manufacturers (and the range of cameras not being able to charge more for a CCD camera on the competition) and left behind a bit in the read speed, making CMOS camera slightly faster. In the end, however, I do not want much to you and me if I showed you a 12MP image printed 16×12 on a CMOS chip and a CCD similar would not be able to notice the difference. CCD may not have the last word because I think is the best candidate for the increased exposure latitude sensors. Each pixel can have a touch more "control" it is used and can allow manufacturers to include a pixel which is on the burn out (saturation-wise). If this is the case, then the camera makers and more even if it acquires the high CCD.
